Youth 8-12 are invited to learn the historic craft of macrame in this new workshop! We'll start the first hour with creating 3 keychain/zipper pulls to learn the square knot, larkshead knot, hitch and tassel. Then participants will have the opportunity to design their own bracelet, necklace or other small project.
All materials are provided and include twine, beads and more. This class does use scissors and youth should be able to use them without one-on-one supervision. If you have questions about if this class is appropriate for you, email [email protected].
Maxx FG's (she/her) first entrepreneurial venture was selling macrame jewelry and accessories in high school. It was the 90s! She loves teaching a new generation this craft that dates back to at least the 13th century.
