Tuesday, September 17th, at 7:00 pm: MACOMB FAN IN-PERSON FORUM (Free naloxone training prior to forum at 5:45 pm.)
Location: St. Michael's Catholic Church, 40501 Hayes Rd., Sterling Heights, MI 48313.
Topic: "Manny Vitale: My Fight Our War."
Manny Vitale is a former Detroit police officer, EMT, and one percenter motorcycle club member. He's also a recovering alcoholic who, more than four years ago, was told that his condition was terminal. Informed that he had less than six weeks to live, Manny was sent to hospice. But he survived. And because of the miracle of his survival, he created My Fight Our War, a family-oriented support group made up of people from around the world who are battling all kinds of addiction. Manny strongly dislikes addiction and what it does to the individual and their family and friends. His mission is to celebrate the powerful blessings that come with recovery and to offer loving support to those on their recovery journey.
Join us for the September Macomb FAN Forum and hear Manny tell his inspirational story of addiction and recovery. All are welcome, so bring your family and friends! Food will be provided.
COME EARLY AND LEARN HOW TO SAVE A LIFE!
Prior to the FAN Forum, at 5:45 pm, there will be a free naloxone training. The class includes a free naloxone kit, with 2 doses of NARCANĀ® nasal spray. To register for this training session, go to https://www.familiesagainstnarcotics.org/narcan-trainings.
