About this Event
dir. Guido Brignone // 1 hr 35 mins // 1925 // Digital Projection
Beginning in February, the Horror Pod Class will be exploring a century of fright films with their Yearbook series, covering one movie from each decade from 1925 through 2015. And where better to kick it off than with a visit to hell?
Who is this Maciste character, and what's he doing in hell? There's only one way to find out, and that's by coming out for a FREE screening of Maciste in Hell on February 26, where you'll be treated to surreal visions of the underworld as only the silent films could muster. Then stick around for a live episode of the Horror Pod Class, where we'll discuss the history of Maciste, his appearances on Mystery Science Theater 3000, depictions of hell in cinema and the arts, and much more!
THE HORROR POD CLASS is a monthly free screening hosted by Orrin Grey and Tyler Unsell where they seek out horror films that could be useful in a school setting. Screenings start at 7pm with a live podcast recording taking place after.
