Graham Dunning presents Mechanical Techno – Experimental / Techno / Automatic music
Graham Dunning's work explores sound as texture, timbre and something tactile, drawing on bedroom production, tinkering and recycling found objects. Working with a DJ turntable as the engine of a ramshackle mechanical music system, he builds extensions and interfaces to sequence patterns, trigger synths, strike percussion and generate textures. Constructing and reconfiguring the contraption in real time produces music which is at turns abstract, clattering, cosmic and polyrhythmic.

Yann Leguay presents Volta – Electronic / Experimental / Mechanistic
Brussels based artist located somewhere between music and conceptual art. Within a wide range of practices and a deep interest into the technical objects appears critical thinking on the evolution of technology. His work has been presented around europe and further and his music released on various labels such as Vlek, ArtKillArt, Consumer Waste, Impulsive Habitat, Tanuki, TTT.
The instrument used for the ‘Volta’ performance is basically a high voltage modular synthesizer with several inputs allowing control the device by sequencer and oscillators. It consists of a powerful plasma speaker developing more or less a 50Kv electrical arc which produces the sound between the two electrodes. The magnetic disturbances it produces are huge, it can disturb any electronic devices around, and it gives the possibility to add several magnetic sensors to enrich the spectrum of the sound and to make it sound like an evil harsh synth.
