MACFEST2021: Curry Mile - A Transition of Cultures

This is the ongoing work of two documentary photographers, Phil Portus and Michael Baker. Covering a 4-year period from 2016 to present day.

They have photographed and interviewed a cross-section of this neighbourhood including shopkeepers, charity workers and business owners, as well as religious

festivals and events including Eid and Ashura, in an effort to document present day Wilmslow Road in all its diversity.

This Exhibition will be combined with Phil’s workshop session. 'Creative Photography for Beginners'
