Scotian Shores x Salty Hair : Shoreline CleanupDate: Saturday, October 18, 2025

Location: MacCormack’s Beach, Dartmouth (with optional paddle to Lawlor’s Island, weather permitting)
We’re teaming up with Salty Hair to clean up MacCormack’s Beach (and, conditions allowing, nearby Lawlor’s Island by kayak/canoe).
Here’s what to expect:
Give back to the ocean: Every bag of trash collected makes our coastline cleaner. And for the entire month of October, Salty Hair will donate $1 from every product sold directly to Scotian Shores.
Optional paddle adventure: Weather permitting, participants can kayak/canoe with us across to Lawlor’s Island for part of the cleanup. (Waivers required; equipment not provided.)
Ocean-friendly beauty: Celebrate the launch of Salty Hair’s brand new Surf Shampoo Bar: natural beach texture in a zero-waste, plastic-free bar (one bar replaces 2–3 plastic bottles!)
Beach waves, on the beach: Salty Hair will be on hand with beach hair styling demo so you can leave with that perfect salty texture.
Sunset vibes + content moments: Think golden-hour cleanup shots, ocean paddles, and clean beaches!
What to bring: Sturdy shoes, water, layers for the weather, and your own canoe/kayak if Lawlor’s is calling you. Supplies (bags, gloves) will be provided.
