An inclusive, informal and friendly opportunity to gather together to eat cake, drink tea and talk about death.Welcome to the Death Cafe, a safe and comfortable space for discussing death and related topics. It can be challenging to find opportunities to talk about this subject in our daily lives, and that's why the Death Cafe movement was established: to give people a place to share their thoughts and experiences. Although not a therapy session, we believe that discussing death can help us appreciate life more fully.
Laura Doherty facilitates the Macclesfield Death Cafe, which is open to all who wish to attend. We invite you to come along and join us for an informal and non-judgemental discussion on death and bereavement.
There is no charge for attending, but as we currently use The Monocle Cafe as a venue, we ask that you purchase a drink as a token of gratitude to this lovely cafe. If you are experiencing any financial hardship, please reach out, as I have a small fund for purchasing drinks.
