The Duke’s Theatre Company are back with a thrilling new open air tour - Macbeth, coming to Carlton Towers on the 6th of July!Known for their bold and innovative interpretations, the company brings a contemporary edge to the dark tale of ambition, murder, and madness. Experience a dynamic reimagining of Shakespeare’s classic tragedy, with Carlton Towers as the stunning backdrop.
Director Robert Shaw Cameron (Coronation Street, Regents Park Open Air Theatre, Sheffield Crucible) and designer Jessica Curtis (Hampstead Theatre, Almeida Theatre, Royal National Theatre) make a production with a cast of six industry leading actors. With a strong focus on the psychological unravelling of the protagonists, this adaptation takes The Duke’s into a new era of open-air Summer touring.
Please note that this is an outdoor theatre performance on the front lawns of the Estate. The performance area is an open space and we cannot reserve a specific area - Audience members are encouraged to arrive early if they would like to sit at the front. The stage will be raised, so we assure that all audience members will be able to see.
Guests are required to bring their own chairs or blankets to enjoy the show. Picnics are also encouraged.
No dogs allowed other than service/guide dogs.
