Mac n Mary McRoy present a free concert in the Fellowship Hall of Riverside United Methodist Church, Sunday afternoon January 18.
Mac n Mary are both originally from Beaufort County, but have called New Bern home for over thirty years. Mac has been playing and singing since the early 90s; Mary's family has a musical background and she and Mac have been singing together for the past five years. They have great harmonies together as a duo. Mac n Mary also have a five piece Bluegrass Band, South Point. They stay pretty busy playing churches and festivals.
For this performance, Mac n Mary will be joined by Simon Spalding on fiddle and mandolin, and Dana Outlaw on bass.
Riverside United Methodist Church is at 405 Avenue "A" in New Bern.
The doors will open around 2:30, and the music starts at 3:00. There is no admission charge for the concert, but donations to Riverside United Methodist Church will be accepted.
