Join Temple of Witchcraft South Florida as we celebrate Mabon, the balance between Light and Dark!Together we will give thanks for the blessings of the harvest—both physical and spiritual—and reflect on the seeds we’ve sown throughout the year.
Both events will take place in the Minister's Hall on campus.
3:30 - 5:00 - A Shield in the Sand: an Introduction to Divination by Geomancy with Rachel Melcher, HPS
Once in widespread use as a form of divination during the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, the practice of geomancy has largely fallen dormant in modern Western Occultism. This rich tradition, with its sixteen unique figures, still offers potent insights and ready magickal aid to the modern witch. In this class, we’ll meet the spirits of geomancy, learn about the technique’s long history, and work step by step through the divination process to learn how to cast figures in a variety of ways and build our own traditional shield chart readings. No previous experience is necessary and all materials will be provided.
Rachel is a High Priestess in the Temple of Witchcraft. She holds degrees in both history and anthropology and uses her knowledge of past lifeways to deepen her own magickal practice.
The cost of this workshop add-on is $10 per person (separate from ritual attendance donation).
5:30 - 6:30 - Mabon Ritual with Michael Usher, HP

Ritual garb (robes, cloaks, etc.) encouraged, but not required.
Following ritual to 8 pm - Potluck
After our Mabon ritual, we invite you to stay and share in a community potluck. Bring a dish to share and a card listing any potential allergens so everyone can partake with confidence. This is a wonderful time to connect, reflect on the season of renewal, and enjoy the equinox together. We look forward to feasting and celebrating with you!
