Mabon – or the Autumnal Equinox – is the second of the three harvest festivals (the last is Samhain at the end of October) and the time when the light of day and dark of night become equal in length once again. The Equinox is a natural time of balance, the perfect opportunity to pause and reflect on how balance is playing out in your life. Through Autumn, the Earth demonstrates the beauty of surrender. Both ebb and flow are necessary in this world, and indeed each fuels the other. Rest gives us energy to grow; growth creates a desire for rest. This is a powerful and magical time to appreciate the beauty of nature, express gratitude, and find balance in our lives. It reminds us to embrace the cycle of change and welcome opportunities for renewal that each season brings.
As always, my Wheel of the Year celebrations are an opportunity to pause, to come together in circle to reflect on where you’re at and any changes you’d like to make for this turn of the Wheel.
Weaving ritual, ceremony, reflection, sound bath and silence we will focus on cultivating balance in life and integrate all that we have learned this year, ready to emerge and move forward into the beauty of Autumn with intention.
