Mabon (Alban Elfed) is the celebration of the Autumn Equinox
About this Event

The Autumn Equinox is a time to celebrate the balance of light and dark in this season of the year. What's in a name? Mabon is the most common name for the Autumn Equinox in American Paganism and Wicca, and the name honors the Welsh God of Light, Mabon (pronounced like Mah-bon), perhaps because of the way the light produces the most temperate and enjoyable climates in our region. In Wales this celebration is called Alban Elfed, and there is no association between Mabon and the Autumn Equinox in Druidic or Pagan traditions in Wales. What we have in common, however, is a desire to celebrate the season, the harvest and the Gods and traditions that fill our lives with vitality, beauty and wonder all under the light of one sun.

Please dress in the colors of the Autumn leaves and bring a dish or drink to share as we celebrate this lovely time of year together with learning, reverence and comraderie.

Childcare will be provided.

All Are Welcome!
