Courses on offer are:
Short Yellow standard - roughly 2 km start times for this course will run from 10:30 to 11:15
Please note that the Short course will consist of a number of controls mostly near to, but not necessarily on, paths. Juniors wishing to run solo on the full knoll bagging course need to be comfortable at Light Green standard - other juniors who are not comfortable at this standard should either be accompanied by a parent or tackle the yellow course.
Full length score - time limit is 50 minutes. (i.e. find as many check points marked on your pre printed map as possible within the time limit. AND get back to the finish.) Penalty of 1 point removed for each 6 seconds over the time limit. This course is suitable for orienteers who can navigate at TD4 / Light Green standard.
For this course there will be a mass start. The walk to the start location will begin at 10.45 from The Sawmill.
Cost £5 for adults and £2.50 for juniors who are BOF members &/or Solway members. Non members adults £7.00 and juniors £3.50
Pre-entry form for this event are now open, and they will close at 11pm on Monday 22nd December - this is earlier than is normal for other events to ensure there is enough time for the maps to arrive by post.
