About this Event
M. Van Rhoon, a Salt Lake City-based game developer and designer originally from Sydney, Australia, is set to launch their debut novel, The Novus Quandary, with a live event at Under the Umbrella on Sunday, February 8th at 1pm.
The Novus Quandary (Book 1 of the Novus Trilogy) follows a first-time thief, Cameron Audex, and a generational starship captain, Rebecca Emerson, as their worlds collide over a mysterious artifact with the power to rewrite history. The launch event will include:
- A Behind-the-Scenes Talk.
- Live Reading with a first look at the suspenseful opening of the novel.
- Q&A event with the author.
- Book Signing with personalized first-edition copies available for purchase.

About the Author:
M. Van Rhoon is a sci-fi adventure author originally from Sydney, Australia. A graduate of Media Arts and Production from the University of Technology Sydney, Van Rhoon spent years in the world of filmmaking and cinema before moving to the U.S. in 2013 to pursue a career in the gaming industry. Now, he is merging those disciplines to create a new sci-fi adventure.
