M Health Fairview Child and Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Programming (PHP) Summer Emotions Camp is designed to support children and teens facing mental health challenges. The in-person camp focuses on therapy and skill-building to help participants manage their mental health symptoms. The program combines therapeutic approaches from both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Children and teens will learn how to address unhelpful thoughts and behaviors in a supportive, structured environment. There will be physical activities available including outdoor walks, yoga, and use of a playground or a pool. The camps take place at either M Health Fairview St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood, or M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center – West Bank in Minneapolis. Programming runs for three weeks, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. How will my child arrive?
Transportation may be available through medical insurance or you are welcome to have a family member drop off and pick up your child.
What if I have already completed PHP?
Perfect! Our program is designed to continue to provide education and encourage skill use.
When does this run?
They run in cohorts. The first session starts July 8. The second session starts August 5.
