Reimagining Iconic Lyrics As A Spoken Word Poem.
About this Event

#LyricSpokenWord is a poetic ritual held on the last Thursday of every month at Shanklin Hall, a Black-owned cultural institution in Adams Morgan. This monthly gathering transforms iconic lyrics into living literature — through poetry, presence, and performance. With a foundation in rhythm and reverence, #LyricSpokenWord honors the lyric as sacred text and music as an emotional archive of Black life.

Produced by Mecision Me and Extra Pulp Global, this experience is part salon, part cipher, part revival — a space for those who listen deeper.
