Lyra Choreography is a class for students interested in adding musicality to their lyra practice. Instead of focusing on how to get into various poses, this class will be dedicated towards learning transitions between poses, moving with intention to music, and making a pose last. Desired prerequisites include comfort with hocks hang, delilah, back balance and front balance; however, anyone interested in combining their existing lyra practice with dance is encouraged to join. Modifications will be made to meet students where they are at. Please plan to wear form-fitting clothes covering knees and thighs, and bring socks for spins.
Class 1: Discussion, goal setting, song selection, and play
Class 2: Spin conditioning, "hoop walking", and floorwork
Class 3&4: Choreography and active discussion on modifications
This four week series runs Tuesdays, September 2nd-23rd 6:00-7:00pm.
This class is $110 or 20 tokens for all four weeks, and is included on all Unlimited Passes.
