About this Event
It’s an informal, welcoming workshop to reflect on how the Lyne Burn and surrounding greenspaces have changed and what it means to you.
Have a go at making Cyanotype postcards inspired by your connection to the Burn, or make a simple linen clootie, inspired by Dunfermline’s rich textile heritage, to share your personal stories and experiences interacting with the surrounding greenspaces.
Enjoy some light food and good company while we listen, reflect, and learn from each other.
Everyone’s welcome - all ages & abilities - no skills needed - just bring yourself!
What to expect
- Friendly, relaxed meet‑up to share stories and feedback on the changes to Lyne Burn
- Stories & Cyanotypes: create “bluespace” postcards using cyanotype, prompted by people’s stories and selected what3words locations along Lyne Burn (no experience needed)
- Tie a Clootie, Share your Story: create small linen clooties each carrying a memory, interaction, or hope about their personal relationship with Lyne Burn and the community
- Opportunities to give feedback on how the restoration has impacted daily life, access, wildlife and recreation
- Contributions will help shape the story of Lyne Burn and inform future greenspace planning.
- Light food and refreshments provided.
The workshop is free to attend but numbers are limited, we'd love you to come but please only book a space if you plan to attend.
