On the 1st anniversary of Lynchburg Nautical Bowls, we would like to celebrate with a World Vision Global 6K event, as we continue to bring the gift of clean and living water! Since last April, with your amazing support, we have provided nearly 90 children clean water for life!! WALK FOR WATER EVENT DATE: Saturday, April 27th, 2024
TIME: 8:00am
LOCATION: Nautical Bowls-- 103 W Edge Way Unit E, Lynchburg, VA 24502
Parking: In front of Nautical Bowls. Overflow Parking: West Edge Apartment pool area
Start/End at Nautical Bowls. The walk (run or stroll), will include a path through West Edge and loop into Cornerstone Walking Trails. Did you know women and children walk an average of 3.7 miles (6K), often multiple times each day, to provide water for their household?
Our Lynchburg Walk for Water 6K will give us the opportunity to build local community friendships and at the same time, "walk in the shoes of some of most vulnerable children around the world". The course will include several rest/educational stations where you can choose to pray for the child represented on your race bib, and fill or carry water. Our joint efforts will truly make a financial impact in solving the clean water crisis, and at the same time, bring the message of Jesus to a thirsty world.
Upon Registration: World Vision will mail you your T-shirt, race bib, and medal. **Please be sure to register early so we can enjoy wearing them together April 27th
