LYN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TRUST AGMThe Annual General meeting for Lyn Community Development Trust will be held on:
Thursday 20th March at 6pm
Jubilee Rooms at the Town Hall
All welcome
Please come along and find out what we have done in the last year. We are keen to hear from the local community and would also welcome new trustees to help us to continue to support the community.
What do we do?
The trust was established in 1999 primarily to oversee the regeneration of the Market Hall, which now houses the library, gym and shop. Since then it has taken over and regenerated Middleham Gardens and supported other projects for the benefit of the local community. In short, the objectives of LCDT are to support projects that enhance and improve the local area for the benefit of the community. The Trust is a registered charity and supports the parishes of Lynton and Lynmouth, Brendon, Countisbury, Parracombe, Martinhoe and Trentishoe.
Over the last 12 months the trust has:
• Overseen a major repair project on the Market Hall
• Held a very successful working party at Middleham gardens as part of the ongoing management of the gardens
• Continued to support Lyn in Bloom
• Revitalised the affordable housing project
• Supported Lyn Climate Action with the development of the Community Orchard.
• Assisted with the Riser Chair for paramedics in the Lyn Valley
• Supported the Lyn Defibrillator fund to replace the defibrillators where needed
• Continued to support Devon Air Ambulance Floodlight maintenance
• Supported Lynton and Exmoor Museum post its successful application for major refurbishment
• Supported Disabled Access facility Hannington Hall, Martinhoe
