Join us Saturday, August 3 for a modern-day movie classic as we show "Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile" on a giant inflatable screen under the stars. This special Summer Movies in the Park showing takes place at NTC Community Park.
In this film, the Primms move into a new house in New York on 88th street and discovers a very friendly and entertaining crocodile named Lyle. Lyle enjoys helping the family with everyday chores and playing with the neighborhood kids, but one neighbor insists that Lyle belongs in a zoo. Mr. Grumps and his cat, Loretta, do not like crocodiles, and Lyle tries to prove that he is not as bad as others might first think.
Don't forget the blankets, beach chairs, al fresco dinner and dessert! Come early and get comfortable; the movie will start 15 minutes after sunset.
There is no cost to attend, registration is not required, and all ages are welcome. Smoking and alcohol are prohibited.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
Summer Movies in the Park is the largest free and family-friendly outdoor movie series in San Diego County, with dozens of hosting sites and over a hundred screenings. The program launched in 2007 as a ‘take back our parks’ initiative – in sync with the County’s Live Well vision to sustain safe, healthy and thriving communities.
Each movie event gives residents a fun reason to visit their local parks with family and friends, and to settle in with blankets, beach chairs and picnic dinners as they watch blockbuster movies under a starry night sky.
Events begin as early as 6 p.m., though actual start times are 15 minutes after sunset. Before movies play, many locations provide entertainment like music and dancing, concerts, arts and crafts, games, costume contests, nature discovery tables, live animal exhibits and food trucks - so it's worth going early for the pre-show!
