LYH WIB: Holiday Party!

Let's be honest; the beauty and wonder of the holiday season often pairs with it's own set of unique challenges - disapointment, grief, waiting. Joy is not the absence of chaos, it's the deep abiding sense of gladness and delight that springs from inner peace and contentment despite what's going on around you.

Our community is filled with resilient women, and this year we're celebrating the JOY that each one of us uniquely carry and all of the little ways we've chosen to cultivate it. We're choosing not to focus on the chaos; but to celebrate the JOY of the season and delight in the good in our lives.

Ladies of the Greater Lynchburg Area, you're invited to our Holiday Party!

What: Join us for a festive evening of community and connection at our Holiday Party: The Joy Within You! The event will include charcuterie, dinner, mocktails, dessert, live music, and more!

Carrie + Ali are your business hype girls and Co-Founders of LYH Women in Business.

Carrie is an executive coach, keynote speaker, mom and PTA President.

She's been a business owner, entrepreneur, business strategist, brand-builder, marketing connoisseur and consultant and coach over the last two decades. She's led a collegiate yearbook to six national awards, including the highest honor of "Gold Crown" by the Columbia Scholastic Press. She went on to develop the Liberty University Career Center to offer thriving services both in-person and virtually to residential and online students. She served as part of the Executive Team for a multi-unit Chick-fil-A franchise, winning the "Gold" award for "Best Wait Staff" and "Best Kid Friendly" for 10 consecutive years. Using this expertise, Carrie developed an award-winning Hospitality workshop that has received the Lynchburg Business Magazine's "Best Professional Development Workshop" award numerous times. In 2020, she was honored to be named the Young Athena Award recipient presented by the Central Virginia Business Coalition.

Ali is a 3x founder and coach.

She has run a marketing/events agency, created + scaled non-profit fundraising events, built various vibrant communities, been nationally recognized for administration.

Ali's heart is to create spaces for for women to thrive at work and in life. After walking through a season of burn out and leaving her job to launch her first business, Ali started to explore the ideas of “work” and “calling.”

Through her exploration, Ali developed 5 pillars to help women take back their sparkle: grounding, dreaming, calling, building + celebration. Ali empowers other women to celebrate their past as they walk forward in potential of who they were created to be, and of course, leave a little sparkle along the way.
