The Lyceum Luncheon Brown Bag Speaker Series presents War Correspondence from the Hocking Valley Coal Strike by Kellye Blosser on Thursday, November 13th at noon at the Southeast Ohio History Center.Kellye Blosser is a writer, digital artist, and board member at Little Cities of Black Diamonds. Blosser works to apply digital tools and new methods of storytelling to community humanities projects.
In her Lyceum presentation Blosser will present a new look at the events of the 1884-1885 Hocking Valley Coal strike through the lens of newspaper reporting of the era.
The History Center’s Lyceum Speaker Series is generally scheduled for the third Thursdays of the month at 24 West State Street in Athens. Due to ongoing construction projects at the History Center, parking is very limited, and visitors should come early to find such accommodations for their vehicle which may be a block or more from the History Center.
