Lisbon celebrates the 1000th LxMarket — the creative market that marked a generation
Lisbon November 12 2025 — LxMarket one of Lisbon's most iconic creative markets and a pioneer in the city's urban market movement celebrates its 1000th edition on Sunday November 16 in the place where it all began: LxFactory in Alcântara.
Created in January 2012 LxMarket was born to provide a stage for artisans designers and small national brands quickly becoming a symbol of independent design creativity and the community spirit that defines Lisbon.
For over a decade LxMarket has made the main street of LxFactory a cultural meeting point—with stalls music art and even flash mobs that made passersby dance. The market also took its energy to other iconic places in the city such as Príncipe Real (VFNO) Parque das Nações Martim Moniz Estrela and Belém while always remaining faithful to its original home.
“LxMarket is more than a market—it is a living community of creators and visitors who believe in authenticity and sharing. Reaching 1000 editions is a celebration of everyone who helped build this story” says the organization.
Over the years LxMarket has welcomed thousands of exhibitors and visitors helping to launch countless brands that are now benchmarks in the Portuguese creative scene.
The 1000th market to be held on Sunday November 16 is a celebration open to all those who have been (and continue to be) part of this story.
