The LWVT Board invites all members and supporters to the LWVT Annual Business Meeting! Join us on Wed, Apr 23, 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Capital City Country Club to help shape the future of our organization through election of proposed officers and board members, and adoption of proposed by-laws, program and budget for our next fiscal year beginning May 1. Note: Only active members may vote.
Doors open at 5:45 for registration, cocktails and hors d'oevres; the business meeting will begin promptly at 6:30 PM; followed by our guest speaker.
Many of you have asked what you can do to support women's health choices under Florida's Abortion Legislation, and what we can do collectively to assure the vote of 57% of Florida voters in favor of Amendment 4 is remembered by the Florida Legislature. Our guest speaker will share ideas, and we will have useful information from one of our local partners on ways you can get involved right now.

Women's Health in Florida - Now What?
Host: Madeline Bowman, ACLU of Florida
Info: The keeping government out of women's health care initiative was approved by 57% of Florida Voters but did not meet the 60% threshold for passage. Guest speaker Bowman will share some ways to get involved to assure legislators remember a majority of voters want women and their doctors making healthcare decisions.

Women's Healthcare Choices in Florida - Taking Action
Host: Madeline Bowman
Info: Madeline Bowman is a statewide organizer with ACLU. Her primary focus is organizing around 1st Amendment, voting and reproductive rights. She served as an organizer on the Yes on 4 campaign. Her team made nearly 65,000 GOTV calls and knocked on 4,000 doors, in addition to holding trainings and other educational events some of you may have attended.
