Welcome to LVIB Bowling in the Dark!
LVIB’s Bowling in the Dark is a fun, family-friendly, fundraising event that challenges your senses. Each team of 4 is assigned a Vision Loss Expert who is either an LVIB staff member with a vision impairment or a Lighthouse client. The VLE is part of the team and can help during frames 3, 6, and 9 because sighted players will be blindfolded! To make the event more exciting, players can purchase Gutter Ball Buy Backs for instant do-overs. The venue for LVIB’s first-ever Bowling in the Dark is Lane Glo Bowl South in New Port Richey.
Proceeds from Bowling in the Dark are used to help the Lighthouse provide no-cost vision rehabilitation for people who are visually impaired and blind living in Pasco, Hernando, and Citrus Counties. Our programs and services help our clients develop the daily living skills needed so they can live independently and safely. Since 1983, Lighthouse has served tens of thousands of clients and their families. The mission of the Lighthouse is to educate, empower, and employ people who are visually impaired and blind.
