In ihrer performativen Lesung spricht Luzie Meyer anhand verschiedener textlicher Vignetten und mit elektroakustischer Begleitung über die Rolle zweier Türme und deren Einfluss auf die Wahrnehmung von Raum und Zeit. Ausgangspunkt ist der Simon-Loschen-Leuchtturm in Bremerhaven, der im Mittelpunkt ihres in der Ausstellung »Repeatedly faling to align with light« gezeigten Films »Cyclic Indirections« (2022) steht. Dieser wird mit dem Grazer Uhrturm, dem Wahrzeichen der Stadt Graz, in Verbindung gesetzt..
Die Veranstaltung findet auf der Dachterrasse des Kunsthaus Graz statt, bei schlechtem Wetter wird sie in den Ausstellungsraum von Camera Austria verlegt.
Im Anschluss empfehlen wir die um 16:00 im Kunsthaus Graz stattfindenden Kuratorinnenführungen durch die Ausstellung »Waters call me home« von Emilija Škarnulytė sowie die Gruppenausstellung »Unseen Futures to Come. Fall.«

In this performative reading by Luzie Meyer, the artist uses various textual vignettes and electroacoustic accompaniment to speak about the role of two towers and their influence on perceptions of space and time. Taking the Simon Loschen lighthouse in Bremerhaven as a point of departure, which features in her video “Cyclic Indirections” (2022) that is presented in the exhibition “Repeatedly failing to align with light” at Camera Austria, Luzie Meyer will draw a connection to the Clock Tower of Graz, the city’s landmark.
The event will take place on the rooftop terrace of Kunsthaus Graz. In the case of inclement weather, it will be moved inside the exhibition space of Camera Austria.
After the reading, we recommend the curator tours at Kunsthaus Graz: in the solo exhibition “Waters call me home” by Emilija Škarnulytė and in the group exhibition “Unseen Futures to Come. Fall,” both held at 4 p.m.
