Luv Thy Neighbor

What does it mean to love thy neighbor? Continually showing up for each other in meaningful ways. We’re inviting our community to join us for a communal exchange of offers and needs on April 19th from 3-6PM at Drunken Monkey in Orlando, Florida.

Come prepared to share your unmet needs, in hopes that a neighbor can lend a helping hand. Come prepared to offer your skills, in hopes of taking care of your neighbors.

Shared meals, clothing swap, body doubling, art creation, access to tools, home care, hobby-sharing, and cleaning are just a few examples of offers and needs that could be exchanged during this event. We encourage you to think outside of the box, and to show up authentically and vulnerably for yourself and your neighbors.

Masks required to participate, and will be provided to those who need them.

Entry to the event is free, with an option to donate to CFLMA's Trans Safety Fund when you RSVP. Goods will be avaialable for purchase during the event to support the Trans Safety Fund as well.

Masks are required to participate, and we will have some available for those who cannot provide their own. Food and drinks will be available for purchase through the venue, and there will be outdoor seating provided for unmasking and eating. There will also be an air purifier inside of the venue during the event.

Parking is limited at Drunken Monkey itself, so if the lot gets full we recommend parking in Colonial Plaza (across the street from the venue) or finding street parking in the neighborhood behind the venue. There are two disabled parking spots in front of the venue. The entrance is not entirely wheelchair accessible, as there is a bump in the doorway that is hard to clear and you may need assistance.

The interior uses string lights and ambient lighting as opposed to harsh overhead lights. The space will be crowded as it is small, but we will do our best to keep walkways clear and wide. If there is music playing over the speakers, we will try to keep the volume at a moderate low level. The bathrooms should be wheelchair accessible.
