She became a licensed Cosmetologist and Salon owner in 1963 at the age of 21. Joined a group called African Culture Art Form (ACAF) where their mission was to support and participate in the movement of restoring African art, clothes, jewelry, etc., by providing a visible outlet for such unique and beautiful items. She has assisted a clothing designer along with a skilled sewing factory worker to assist in finding manufacturing jobs and opportunities for expanding creativity. Has studied raw food veganism and implemented her practices at her world renowned restaurant "Spirit First Foods".
