The Luther College Nordic Choir will perform a concert at Vår Frue Church on 30 May. The Nordic choir is one of America’s premier collegiate choral ensembles and known for featuring new and innovative choral works with versatility artistry and technical mastery.
Their concert repertoire is a delightful and poignant mix of music that spans from the Renaissance period through today. Audience members will hear music by various modern American composers such as Jocelyn Hagen Zanaida Robles Hans Bridger Heruth and Rollo Dillworth alongside other standard works by Knut Nystedt Sergei Rachmaninoff and Pavel Chesnokov.
Luther College was the first college in the United States founded by Norwegian immigrants in 1861 and continues to foster connections with today’s Nordic region through innovative programs and partnerships including a dedicated Center for Nordic Studies.
