Back by popular demand, Ceri 'Taffarotti' Davies will bring us a mix of Welsh folk songs and operatic classics to Brecon's Guildhall.Ceri sung with Eschoir as part of the 2023 Brecon Choir Festival concerts as well as wowing the crowds in Brecon on the walking singing trail!
Ceri recently graduated from the Wales International Academy of Voice as a Master of Arts and was fortunate enough to study with some of operas greats such as Dennis O’Neill CBE, Della Jones, Ryland Davies, Susan Bullock and leading coaches and conductors such as Jane Samuel and Gareth Jones.
Ceri is a familiar face within the concert scene and is also a frequent guest on Welsh TV channel S4C’s magazine show’s called Prynhawn Dâ and Heno as well as featuring on a number of comedies on welsh comedy channel Hansh.
He has performed at the North American Festival of Wales Gala Concert in Philadelphia, a performance at the Royal Chapel of the Cathedral of Seville, toured with Opra Cymru’s production of Così fan tutte as a chorus member, and even had the privilege of performing to both Prime Minoster Gonzalves of St Vincent and the Grenadines and the then Prince of Wales, King Charles III at two separate visits to the University of Wales Trinity Saint David’s Lampeter campus.
Ceri has also toured the UK performing at UWTSD’s graduation ceremonies and has just finished Duchy Opera’s touring production of Cavalleria Rusticana where he debuted as Turridu.
