About this Event

Edward Deacon, Quantum Computing: A Brief Introduction

Quantum computing offers a new paradigm for solving problems otherwise out of reach for computers we have today - or even those in the future - and employs fundamental features of quantum mechanics to do so, namely quantum superposition, interference and entanglement.

In this talk, Edward Deacon, PhD researcher at Bristol University School of Phsyics, will introduce quantum computing, the fundamental principles behind it, and explore its benefits over current classical computers and some potential applications.
