Alison Gill, piano performing Grandos' "Goyesecas"
Inspired by the paintings of Goya, Goyescas is considered the crowning glory of piano works by a Spanish composer. Images of Spanish life in Goya’s time are brought to mind both gallant and romantic but also melancholic and dark
Alison Gill is a renowned pianist who gained Postgraduate Diploma in performance at the Royal Academy of Music, London, 2007, under the guidance of Andrew West and Daniel-Ben Pienaar.
Whilst at the RAM, she made her Wigmore Hall debut that was filmed for Channel 4. Often seen alongside the musicians of Royal Northern Sinfonia, Alison is known for her ability to perform a wide variety of works.
Alison performed for us during lockdown alongside Yoshie Kawamura performing 4 handed piano pieces which can be seen here:
