About this Event

Congestion pricing could reduce traffic in the busiest areas of NYC and bring in needed money for mass transit. But it would also add an expense for people who need their cars to get to work, or for their jobs. Our speakers will explore possible solutions.

Speakers:

Nicole Gelinas is a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute, a contributing editor of City Journal, and a columnist at the New York Post. She writes on urban economics and finance.

Stephen Nessen is the transportation reporter for WNYC News, WNPR and the Gothamist Newsletter. Since 2008 he has reported on everything from Occupy Wall Street, the rebuilding of the World Trade Center site, Hurricane Sandy, to Trump’s campaign for president.

Rachel Weinberger is the Peter W. Herman Chair for Transportation at Regional Plan Association (RPA). She has over 30 years of transportation planning experience in the public and private sectors and in academia. Weinberger is an internationally recognized expert in sustainable transportation with specializations in travel behavior, land use transportation interactions, economic impacts of the transportation system, and parking policy.
