STANLEY MIDDLEMAN is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Freedom Mortgage Corporation, a national, full-service mortgage banker headquartered in Mount Laurel, NJ. The company is ranked in the top 10 mortgage originators nationally.
Middleman founded Freedom Mortgage in 1990. As other lenders failed to survive the Great Recession and 2009 foreclosure crisis, Middleman grew his company to become a market leader in VA mortgages and government-insured lending, with a staff of more than 4,000 employees nationwide and customers in all 50 states. Over the past three decades, Freedom Mortgage has helped more than 1 million homebuyers, including countless veterans and military service men and women, obtain affordable mortgages and achieve the American dream of homeownership.
In addition to his role leading Freedom Mortgage, Middleman is a prominent business strategist within the industry. He is an active member of the Mortgage Bankers Association where he serves on the Residential Board of Governors (RESBOG). The RESBOG is responsible for establishing legislative and regulatory policies and positions on residential lending issues. Middleman is also a member of the Housing Policy Executive Council (HPEC), an affiliate of the Financial Services Roundtable. The Council advocates for the benefits of a fully competitive and integrated housing market and represents dozens of leading national mortgage finance companies. Middleman is a graduate of Temple University with a BS in Accounting. He currently resides in Cherry Hill, NJ.
