June's Lunch Poems reading at SFU Harbour Centre (room 2270) features poets Kevin Spenst & Cathy Stonehouse.
Kevin Spenst is the author of four full-length books of poetry including A Bouquet Brought Back From Space (Anvil Press, 2024) along with 16 chapbooks. He is one of the organizers of the Dead Poets Reading Series, has a chapbook review column for subTerrain magazine and occasionally co-hosts Wax Poetic on Vancouver Co-op Radio. He lives in Vancouver on unceded Coast Salish territory, and is both a poetry instructor at SFU and a mentor in the Writer’s Studio.
Cathy Stonehouse (she/they) is a poet, writer and visual artist, as well as the author of five books in three different genres. Her most recent is the poetry collection, Dream House (Nightwood Editions, Fall 2023). Cathy teaches creative writing at Kwantlen Polytechnic University and has lived in East Van since before the first chain coffee shop appeared on the Drive (no prizes for guessing which one).
