December’s Lunch Poems reading at SFU Harbour Centre’s Teck Gallery features poets Aislinn Hunter and Billeh Nickerson.
Aislinn Hunter is a poet and novelist living on the unceded and ancestral lands of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh peoples. Her most recent book of poetry is Linger, Still (Gaspereau Press), long-listed for the Pat Lowther Award and winner of the Fred Cogswell Prize for Excellence in Poetry. She was the guest editor of Best Canadian Poetry 2025.
Billeh Nickerson is a Vancouver-based author, editor and educator whose six books include McPoems (Arsenal Pulp), the City of Vancouver Book Award-nominated Artificial Cherry (Arsenal Pulp) and his most recent collection, Duct-Taped Roses (Book*hug). He has served as writer-in-residence at the Berton House in Dawson City, Yukon; at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario; and at the University of the Fraser Valley in Abbotsford, B.C. He is former associate dean and permanent Creative Writing faculty at KPU.
