About this Event
Pianist Claude Cymerman and cellist Eric Edberg, both DePauw emeritus music professors, share their 36-year continuing musical friendship with romantic pieces by the German composer Luise Adolpha Le Beau (1850-1927) as well as music celebrating the “French connection” with the American Revolutionary and Civil Wars, particularly the role of the Marquis de Lafayette.
Edberg, principal cellist of the Lafayette Symphony, is the founding artistic director of the Greencastle Summer Music Festival, which celebrated its 20th season in 2024. Cymerman, a celebrated pianist with a long international career, has performed in the festival more than anyone other than Edberg. Audience members have appreciated their special musical chemistry since they began performing together in 1988.
An optional lunch from The Whisk, available for $15 on a first-come, first-served basis, is free to seniors over 65. For additional information, contact: Ming Hui-Kuo ([email protected]).
