Lunch at Connor's Irish Pub 2401 St. Joseph BlvdDuring the week of Remembrance Day, Shenkman Arts Centre hosts an intimate performance featuring the sounds of the 1930s, ‘40s, and ‘50s, expertly performed by a 16-piece big band.
Formed three decades ago at the Good Companions Centre, the Grey Jazz Big Band offer an entertaining program of music ranging from the big band era to popular modern hits.
Over the years, the band has performed at high-profile events including a royal visit, the opening of the Canadian War Museum and the Ottawa Jazz Festival, delighting audiences both young and young-at-heart. This late-autumn matinee features songs from swing to the sixties!
