The presentation will prioritize the concept of safety first and will include a highlight on the duty and responsibility to report to police, as well as when and how to contact police.

Matt Furlot is the Fire Chief for the Township of Esquimalt and has served in the fire service for more than 20 years. Before his career in leadership and emergency services, Matt worked as a physical therapist and entrepreneur, contributing to high-performance environments with the Vancouver Whitecaps, BC Lions, Vancouver Grizzlies, Vancouver Canucks, and many of Canada’s Olympic teams.
Drawing from experience in both public safety and professional sport, Matt will share practical keys he has applied to build effective, high-performance teams and will explore:

What truly drives team success
Common myths around performance and leadership
