By intentionally locating yourself and your organization in relation to The Commons, you can be renewed in your own and your organization’s goals and leave better positioned to leverage community partnerships, enhance creative problem-solving, and most importantly orient yourself, your organization, your customers, and your clients toward thriving.

Michelle Beadle is the founder and community manager of Thriving Commons, an online community created in 2025 to advance individual and institutional thriving in Greater Frederick County and beyond. Michelle has worked in local government management and the nonprofit sector, including human services provision, congregational ministries, and policy advocacy advancing the causes of peace through justice. Thriving Commons is designed to celebrate and promote these same values here at the local level – in our proverbial hometown – by bringing together into one place those who share a common vision for universal thriving.
