The Garland County Library in partnership with the Oaklawn Center on Aging, Elite Home Health (Hot Springs), and Arkansas Hospice are hosting a Lunch & Learn about Safe Driving as We Age, designed to help older adults stay confident and safe behind the wheel. Lunch will be provided, so you just need to bring your mind ready to learn!
Lieutenant Brandon Margis with the Arkansas State Police will present this informative session which will cover important topics such as how aging affects driving ability, tips for adapting to physical & cognitive changes, the latest safety concerns, and resources available for senior drivers. Attendees will also learn strategies to extend driving independence while staying aware of when it might be time to limit or adjust driving habits.
