Lunch & Learn: Passport to Public Gardens

Pack a bag (lunch) and tour of the vast world of North American public gardens available to you through NC Arboretum membership! Join Adult Education Specialist Matt Reyna as he shows you the ins & outs of using the American Horticultural Society’s Reciprocal Admissions Program, and how he personally toured over 30 botanical gardens, arboreta, estate gardens just this past year using only his North Carolina Arboretum Society membership!
This program takes place indoors. Please be advised that Bent Creek Bistro will be closed until March. Feel free to bring your own lunch or snacks!
Matt Reyna is an artist & gardener with over a decade of experience in public horticulture and non-profit administration. He has served a wide range of cultural institutions, including Longue Vue House & Gardens and Audubon Louisiana Nature Center in New Orleans, Biltmore Estate, and is currently an Adult Education Specialist at the North Carolina Arboretum. Matt earned his BFA in Oil & Acrylic Painting from Northern Illinois University and quickly funneled his creative skills into the living art of horticulture. Matt was recognized as a 2023 Garden Scholar by the American Public Gardens Association.
