Join Lipscomb's School of Public Policy on Wednesday, March 4, for a Lunch and Learn session with Professor of Leadership and Practice, Dr. Bill Johnson, to learn leadership lessons on "Leading through Change and Uncertainty."
The session will take place at Lipscomb's downtown Spark location, where our College of Leadership & Public Service graduate courses take place. Join us, and picture yourself as a student this fall in a Master of Public Administration or M.A. in Leadership & Public Service.
About Bill Johnson:
Dr. Johnson is a professor of leadership and practice within the College of Leadership and Public Service at Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. His role is to provide classroom instruction to graduate students interested in becoming more effective leaders across a wide array of disciplines. This role also includes working closely with students in career planning and individualized learning projects. Prior to joining Lipscomb University Dr. Johnson served as a professor of practice within the Herbert College of Agriculture at the University of Tennessee. His role was to provide classroom instruction in project-based courses using experiential learning techniques to deepen student understanding of business and leadership principles. In addition, he served as the Interim Department Head for the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics. The majority of Dr. Johnson’s career was spent within the financial services industry and culminated in his role as president and chief executive officer of Farm Credit Mid-America, a $35 billion financial cooperative which serves over 100,000 members in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee. Overall, Dr. Johnson has nearly 40 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in direct lending, risk management, business operations, information services, higher education and civic engagement.
