Serial entrepreneur and i-GATE/Daybreak Labs incubator alumn Luis Dussan will offer insight and answer questions about critical inflection points and problems relevant to every hard tech founder.
About Luis Dusssan
Luis Dussan founded AEye to solve the biggest bottleneck to the safe commercialization of autonomous vehicles: perception. Since the company’s inception, AEye’s software-defined, MEMS-based Lidar has achieved milestone breakthroughs in cost, weight, size and performance. Now he's starting a new venture to continue that goal and much more.
Luis spent 30+ years developing cutting-edge ISR solutions for the automotive, aerospace and defense industry. He began at NASA, working for the Jet Propulsion Lab’s (JPL)Deep Space Network, which communicated with planetary and deep space probes. And then spent seven years at Lockheed Martin’s Missiles and Fire Control Division Advanced Concepts Group developing state-of-the-art ISR and Targeting systems found in virtually every major US airborne military asset. He also served as Chief Technologist at Northrop Grumman Laser Systems, managing the division’s Electro-Optical Sensors R&D.
With a BS in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, MS in Quantum Optics and an MS in Optics & Photonics, Luis put his PhD in Computational Physics aside to found AEye, which he took public in 2021 .
