About Our Guest
Hannah Tizedes, Environmental Advocate, Artist, and Founder, The Cleanup Club
Hannah Tizedes is a sustainability-driven entrepreneur and creative professional, dedicated to environmental advocacy and community engagement. As the founder of The Cleanup Club, she has built a platform focused on raising awareness about plastic pollution through art, education, and collective action.
A native of Flat Rock, Michigan, Tizedes earned her Bachelor of Arts in Creative Advertising with a concentration in environmental sustainability from Michigan State University in 2017. During her time at MSU, she served as the environmental communications coordinator for MSU Recycling, where she developed impactful initiatives promoting sustainable practices across campus.
Her passion for sustainability deepened after a post-graduation job opportunity took her to Portugal. Inspired by the plastic debris she encountered on local beaches, Tizedes began creating intricate artistic arrangements from the salvaged materials. Sharing these works online, she quickly attracted attention from eco-conscious brands. In 2020, Stasher, a reusable silicone bag company, partnered with her to create a campaign promoting environmental protection through creative messaging.
Since launching The Cleanup Club, Tizedes has expanded its reach, leading cleanup events and sustainability projects that empower individuals to reduce plastic waste and adopt more sustainable lifestyles. Her work has been featured in environmental initiatives and collaborations with brands that share her commitment to a greener future.
Through her innovative approach to advocacy, Tizedes continues to inspire others to recognize the power of creativity and community in addressing environmental challenges.
