When the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, Corporal James Sentell was mid-shave. He rushed into action and afterward said that “it was a week later” before he got the chance to finish shaving. As we look to the upcoming July 4th holiday, let us remember the American heroes that fought for our country. Join us at the Anderson County Museum on July 2, at noon, to hear more about Corporal Sentell’s war experiences from his grandson, William Chad Funk.
