Tell Me a Story: Find Joy and Confidence in Sharing How God is in Your LifeYour life is a hopeful invitation to others! This interactive workshop will help you explore and share the ways God has been present in your life. Through guided reflection, practical exercises, and real-life examples from Scripture, you’ll learn how your personal experiences connect to the bigger story of Jesus—and why those stories matter.
Whether you feel confident or hesitant about inviting others to explore faith, this session will give you tools and encouragement to share authentically and meaningfully. Come ready to listen, learn, and practice in a supportive environment as we grow together in trust and community.
With Greg Smith-Young, the United Church’s Growth Animator for Southwest Ontario. Greg (he/him) works with existing and newly-forming communities of faith. He helps them to strengthen their invitation to their neighbours: inviting, welcoming, and engaging newcomers, helping all of us grow as disciples, and hearing Jesus’ invitation to share in what he is doing in their neighbourhoods.
Previously Greg served with Hope Springs UC in Elora ON for 19 years and with Grace UC in Hornepayne (north of Lake Superior) for 8 years. Greg lives in Elora with his spouse Barb. He has 2 young-adult children who live in Montreal and Banff.
