30 year IT/Cyber veteran and 24 years as a University Professor of Cyber and Digital Forensics & Incident Response (DFIR) – currently at the Univ. of Texas San Antonio.  24 year Infragard member, past president, and current Healthcare Sector Chief of the N. Texas Chapter, member of the North Texas Crime Commission, and a Fusion Liaison officer for the North Texas Fusion Center.   Current CEO and incident response lead for BlackSwan Cybersecurity and Executive Director for the US Cyber Defense Center.

Chris Boykin (Panelist)

Chris Boykin joined CyCognito in 2022, his first job on the vendor side, after spending over20 years on the VAR side. Starting his career at NASA as an electronics technician, he eventually worked his way into computer networking, where he obtained the coveted CCIE certification. He has spent the last 15 years focusing on cybersecurity, where he led teams of highly skilled consultants to provide solutions to enterprises across the globe. Prior to CyCognito, he was the Chief Technology Officer at Future Com from 2010-2022, which acquired the Houston based company Chris founded in 2002, Got Net Security. He regularly speaks and sits on expert panels at industry conventions and trade shows.

John Shin is a highly respected figure in the field of cybersecurity and information technology with over 19 years of experience. He serves as the Managing Director at RSI Security, a premier compliance and cybersecurity provider dedicated to helping organizations achieve cybersecurity risk-management success.

Joshua Danielson (Panelist)

Joshua Danielson is the Founder and CEO of Kustos, a leading cybersecurity consulting firm. He brings almost two decades of experience in securing classified national defense assets, as well as protecting some of the world’s largest financial and e-commerce platforms. 

Before starting Kustos Josh was the Head of Enterprise Security at Shopify and prior to that he was the Chief Information Security Officer at Copart (S&P500) a global digital auto-auction platform. Joshua is an active member of the security community, to include sitting on several venture capital advisory boards.

Joshua holds a graduate degree in Information Management from Syracuse University.
