The Roots and Wings Project presents the World Premiere of LUMINOUS STREETS, a site-specific theatrical tour along 50th and York in Highland Park.
Centering on women’s survival and pursuit of justice, this powerful experience features new short plays written specifically for Highland Park venues by leading femme voices in American theatre, including Roger Q. Mason, Tyree Marshall, Ligiah Villalobos, Melissa Lugo, and Jesse Bliss.
Audiences will be guided through exquisite neighborhood venues including Johnny’s Bar, Cafe De Leche, Moryork, Be Nice Have Fun, and Pop-Hop Books, where each location hosts a unique performance.
As part of the journey, attendees will also have the chance to support these local businesses—whether by purchasing a small gift, exploring the spaces, or enjoying a round of drinks.
